The Courtyard

Another site that might interest visitors, is the courtyard. Visible from many places within the palace, it is only attainable from the main hallway. The Courtyard is positioned directly in the center of the palace. It’s a manmade ecosystem, in an airtight room about a half acre in size. The walls are completely transparent, so the courtyard can be viewed from the outside. Lit artificially by lighting provided by Liwanag, the courtyard produces greenery such as grass, and a number of trees and bushes. The majority of the courtyard is a simple field, covered in grass, and various plantlife. About one third of the area is occupied by a lake by means of controlled elevation. In the center of the lake, stands a flawless statue of the Goddes, Halsey. She stands, with her hands extended outward, as if offering her blessings to all those who seek her out. The lake is home to a number of aquatic species, including a rare beast, that most members of Siram believe to be nothing more than a legend. Near the entrance to the Couryard, is a small Garden, tended to by Micah and A’Nailiah. There is also a small hot spring located along the eastern wall. It’s a quite peaceful place, and many Siram officials come here to visit during their free time. Though animals are rarely seen here, the sound of birds chirping can often be heard within the walls.

Ali, still dressed in her ball dress, wandered over, sitting on one of the benches spaced around the courtyard. She tilted her head up slightly, smiling as she listened to the birds chirping, even though she still couldn't see them. She closed her eyes and listened for a minute before motioning Sotaynru to sit beside her. She smiled at him and looked around. "What do you think?" She asked, wondering what he thought of the place she visited so often, as a detour from her usual visits to Micah. She Slowly brought some water over and washed her face slightly with it, using the slight amount of water bending abilities she had. She smiled again, feeling slightly cleaner, the day's worth of makeup and such (do they have makeup here?) washed off leaving her fresh and just as happy.

sotaynru was vague in the way he thought at this moment somethign was stressing him to a new height. he tried to smile as she beckoned him towards her but the facade was indeed useless. his mind told him there was much work to do he had made his decision he sighed a bit now the death of silver had weighed heavily on him only because she had wandered into the unknown abyss a traveler she was and his best she had been bested by the unlawful lands visiting tenkuu there idiocy had led to the massive dragon coming down and devouring all this had passed in the time of his stay here in the land "peace" what a temporary word he sighed there was no such thing as ever lasting peace no matter how fine a word it may be. he finally ast there with her looking to the place she pointed. " it is beautiful my dear " his words were distant he knew ali would not understand what he was about to do why he had to leave in such a rush. he sighed knowning this all to well he turned to her. " my dear i know this is so soon but i must leave for home this night. an urgent calling must be adressed. miss ali i wrote you this " he hands her a peice of paper selaed in the septur kana crest. " please do not open it until lady micah tells you of what you will hear. " he smiled and kissed ehr then looked intoo her eyes holding her hands in hsi own whilst he still could.

Ali felt her forehead crease in confusion. Something was bothering him, she could tell, but would he tell her? "What's up...?" She asked, trying to analyze the situation, both with her natural born gift, and with his facial expressions. She frowned slightly, but only for a second. She took the paper he was giving her and set it on her lap, still trying to figure out what was going on. She got distracted though, when he kissed her, and she kissed him back, but after, looked into his eyes with confusion and worry. She only held on tighter to his hand, finally realizing he was leaving soon. "What's up?" She repeated, forgetting she asked the question already.

he sighed and looked down hsi cold blue eyes scannign the groudnhow could he tell her he was to be the patron of a soon to come battle that would turn to a war of self justice. this was his only way to fix things in the image he desired for there to be protection. siram was a safe place but for how long until the mistrials of others came to pass and the dragon wiped them off the land as well. ali micah sach all of them the only way was to take command combine the nations as one a new name not septur kana one big city protected trained with material and justice his garand design woudl first amke him have to break down what was already there. he coundt tell ehr all of this. so he did what only came natural as an immature male. he lied " its nothing dear just dumb politics that my suitors cant handle to well so i have to take charge of the matter." he passed a fake smile though it looked genuine he knew she wouldnt understand why and what he was about to do to decimate a land to start from scratch was he any better than those that had killed his parents. he reminded himself his parents were foolish unprepared and if these new opponents cant defend themselves they also deserve to die. it was so cold to pass judgement over the weak but it had to be done smiling finally he kissed her once mroe before pulling over his cloak he lifted from the seat " it is time my dear my escort has arrived. "

Ali frowned, for her senses and what she saw and heard told her two different things. She shrugged it off though, knowing she either wouldn't understand, or he wouldn't tell her completely. She sighed quietly, and kissed him back, then watched as he left, not positive on what to say. Finally though, she just looked down, taking interest in the paper she had been handed. She'd most definitely ask Micah about it later, but for now she needed to just get back to her old islands, the ones she hadn't been back to for a while. She sighed, and very slowly stood up, departing the courtyard and it's memories, old and new, and headed towards the pods that would take her back.

Ali smiled as they entered the courtyard. It was a place of good memory, save the last visit. She went over to the bench that they had sat at last time. Pulling him to sit next to her she leaned against his shoulder. "It's still pretty even this early, isn't it?" She smiled, glancing around it, her eyes following the garden and lake and the statue. Not that she needed to even look, her memory of it was sharp enough of this that she knew exactly how it looked without looking at it. She remembered the countless days spent here, playing child games with Micah as their mothers sat on this very bench talking, watching their children laugh and play. She smiled at the memories and kissed his cheek lightly.
