| Shurik landed right after the punch had sent the man flying. He was exhausted, his fire had one little charge left and he felt like it wouldn’t do much even if he could use it. But despite the injuries he had sustained so far, he wasn’t exactly feeling any better. So he stood up straight and smirked, reaching behind him as he pulled his chest plate loose and let it drop to the ground, kicking it out of the way before he took a good strong stance and cracked his neck from one side to the other, grinning at Jin as he extended his one hand out all the way, fingers and all and flicked his fingers, giving Jin the ‘Come on” sign before he closed his hand into a fist and waited.
Burns on his legs, what felt like a bruised rib, blood rolling from the back of his neck, what felt like a bruised rib and a few more burns on his arms and a minor one on his face. He had been through a lot worse, but he wasn’t exactly ready to call it quits.

| JIn-E smiled and removed his light armor to reveal a black under long sleeved shirt. He was at a slight disadvantaged because of his arm being broken. He snapped his broken arm again to get it in the correct position. It would move a little more then it did previously, giving him almost two arms to fight with. Even though his face, arms, and legs were covered in burns he was still ready to fight on. He noticed that his last kriss was still in his hands. He drew it back and threw it into the ground, point down to where it would stick. "Shur good."
He took a few steps forward before he began to run straight at Shur. When he got close enough, he slid himself across the ground on his legs, both of his feet were aimed at Shurs shins. Before he connected though, he raised himself on his hands and spun in a circle, his legs spread wide as they spun towards Shurs face.

| Shurik knew not to react too soon, not to make a motion that would leave him at a disadvantage. He switched his stance once Jin began walking towards him as a large smile found it’s place on his face. “Your not too bad yourself, Jin-E” His eyes grew cold in the moment that Jin charged him full force and a chuckle passed through his lips as he made sure to watch every movement Jin made. When he slid towards his shins Shurik ducked down right before Jin would have hit and pushed back on his legs, getting ready to spring up, but as he was about to jump and slam his shoulder into the head of Jin, a more opportune moment arose.
Shurik watched as the man, in a second, sprung onto his hands and begin to kick into the air, the duck subsequently dodging the intended attack. In the moment Jin threw his first kick Shurik launched himself straight out off his feet as he sent his entire body weight and his shoulder soaring at close range straight for the open chest of his opponent.

| He smirked at Shur as he dived towards his chest, the man had fallen into one of many fighting traps. As he was hit in the chest, his air was driven from his lungs. While shur was hitting him, both of Jin's feet dropped straight down towards the back of the neck and the middle of the spine towards Shur. his hands came up, gripping the mans shoulders so their wouldn't be a way to avoid the hit. It was a very risky move that could leave Jin in a very tight spot. So he did one move that surprised himself, a simple head butt. It would hurt like hell he knew but it would possibly leave Shur disoriented enough to pull off the kicks if he was able to break away from his hands. | |

| He kept his head about him as he felt his attack being countered by the man. Growling as Jin took a grip upon his shirt his hands instantly went to Jin’s and gripped into them. He threw his head forward and in a slight astonishment saw a head coming back for his. The two heads smashed together and for a moment Shurik had lost where he was from the contact. The two heads coming together hard enough to cause a nice sized cut on his own forehead. They two came down, the kicks landed, but not exactly for their intended targets. As his head ricocheted back he pulled himself forward once more and locked his shoulder against the chest of the man who had a grip on him.
He drove his body into Jin’s and forced the man onto the ground like a spear. In that moment he bent his feet around, arching his back and used most of his strength to whip around to his knees, keeping a tight hold on the mans hands, in the moment he flipped forward, he used the force to pick the man off the ground with his own shoulder and arms and fling the fighter away from him. If Jin kept hold on his shirt, the piece of cloth would tear away as he tried to send the man as far away from him as he could.

| He had his own cut from when both of their heads crashed against each other. When he pulled back, he shook his head to find himself lifted up and being thrown, he forced his weight down so he landed about three feet away from him on his knees. He threw himself at Shur instantly, his shoulder aimed for his stomach while his hands held flat like blades raced towards an armpit and kidney. Before he had a chance to connect though, Jins vision went to complete black as he went forward. His consciousness fled out of his grasp. | |

| He rolled away from Jin’s final attack, the last of his strength leaving him afterwards as he laid there, his eyes staring towards the top of the cave, hidden in the night that covered the area above. He chuckled lightly and tried to remain as still as possible. He couldn’t even lift a finger let alone his own arm now. Jin was quite the little warrior when it came down to it and he grinned at this fact alone. When Jin, who had seemed to pass out during or after his last attack and now laid but four feet or so away from him, awoke, he would ask if he would like to sign up. He was apart of Incendia, wasn’t he? With a fighting spirit like that, the man would earn his place. As he lay there, the thoughts of his dead king played in his head. Who was this new king rising to power? | |

| It was not but 10 minutes past when Jin-E sat up slowly and groggily. He was holding a hand to his bleeding head. He shook himself a bit to get his thoughts back. All he knew was that he was charging at Shur then blacked out. Forgetting he had broken his arm, he put all his weight on it to force himself up. The arm sent a searing shot of pain into his body. Not a sound left his lips as he gridded his teeth against the pain. Forcing himself to stand, he felt woozy but not totally unbalanced. He turned towards Shur and saw him laying their. With a few unsteady steps and allot of body swaying, he had gotten to him. "Shur really good." He fell down on his arse beside the man.
Looking around, anyone could see their weapons strewn out around along with scorch marks from both combatants. He sighed slightly and looked at Shur " What now?" JIn-E didnt know if Shur was able to move or not. His own thoughts were racing through his head that he didnt know what to comprehend. He liked this man he was sitting beside. He was one of the very few people who gave him a chance. He closed his eyes for a few seconds to concentrate a bit to where he could formulate a plan on how to fix his shoulder.

| His eyes remained closed as he heard shuffling coming from the spot he knew Jin was laying. The man had gotten up and took a few stumbling steps towards him before he fell down. The dirt from the impact on the ground flew up and hit his face, clinging to the sweat and blood that had been pouring down his face since midway through the fight and after. With the throw his shirt was now gone, scraps of it lay around him as he took in a deep breath and sighed. Fully visible to be seen where the hundreds of scars all along his torso and down his arms part of the way. The claw marks seemed to match well enough with the one that adorned his left eye. He chuckled as the words left Jin’s mouth and he nodded to him before speaking softly. “Your not too bad yourself… Jin-E. Certainly gave a Dragoon guard a run for his money.”
His head was pounding and he could barely think at the moment. His mind was made up on the man beside him. Shurik was still unable to move at the moment, and his body still felt like dead weight holding him down, but through the searing headache and the throbbing cuts and burns he turned his head to look directly at Jin and smile. “How would you like to enlist and train with the Incendia Calx Guardian Forces?” He chuckled and took in a slow deep breath, pushing his arms back and letting his weight brace against his armor as he began to push himself up. Looking over the battlefield he smirked. The dust hadn’t even settled on their fight scene yet. Weapons of one make or the other where strewn about the sand and earth covered ring and close to the center of the grounds was his first spear, still stuck in the ground at an almost perfect perpendicular angle with the ground. “That was one good fight..”

| He smiled at Shur and drew forth another red mask and tied it into place with his good arm "I think" He pushed himself up and stretched his sore and badly burn body. It would take time and allot of herbs to heal himself, but the question was what would he do about his arm. He would need to go see a healer but he did not know who or what would heal him nor did he know what they would possibly want in return for helping him. Well before he would do anything, he would need to gather his stuff that is strewn around. Blowing out a small breath, he began to walk around to pick his things up.
The first order of business was to make sure he had all of his weapons in the best condition, if not then he would have to make them since he had absolutely no money to his name to buy iron or even steel weaponry. Maybe if he could get a job..His mind went to the position that he was offered by Shur to take part in. It would be beneficial for him to take the job to get better weaponry and if he was lucky enough real strong armor then his worn out dragon scale leather armor. It wasn't bad armor it was just used to much and needed to be fixed and upgraded allot.
With a small sigh, he picked up his bone Kriss's. Only one had made it with out getting broken. He would have to make more now and since Lux and Shur had given him the bones of the boar they both had hunted and killed, it wouldn't take to long even though they wouldn't be as good as the ones he had before. He placed the one good one down in the thigh sheath close at hand. He saw his armor over on the ground,he walked over and strapped it on with difficulty. A sigh came from his lips as he thought about Lux. He did not know the man for any longer then a few moments, but if he was anything like Shur, he was sure that they would of been comrades or even friends at least.
He saw his roped scythe over in the ground a few feet away. He rolled his eyes and with difficulty, walked over to it. Picking it up, he began to wind up the rope and place it behind his back onto the belt loop it was connected to. He would definitely have to get more weapons and armor. He would need to practice with more weapons then he had since it seemed that Shur was able to use a bow, spear, and a sword. Having a complete arsenal ad use of weapons would be very useful in any situation

| As Jin wandered around the area collecting the strewn about arsenal that littered the training ring, Shurik had forced himself into a sitting position and let his arms hang limply in his lap. His back, just like his face, had gripped the dirt like a magnet and clung to his sweat and blood that had soaked his back. He lifted his arms up one at a time, examining the skin and the burns that adorned them. That had been the first time he ever really fought someone with his fire creation abilities. It felt good to be able to do something like that, but now he wanted to learn how to control it. How to better use it so he wouldn’t wear out so fast. He made a mental note and grinned, telling himself that he needed to stop by the Incendia Library and read more before he began that type of training. They had to have something on the ancient techniques. While he was there he would also do some research on his next step, Taming.
His body didn’t ache, it screamed for medical attention. But Shurik just ignored its call and grumbled as he pushed himself up onto his own two feet and bent back as he placed his hands on the small of his back. A loud crack resounded through the area and he let out a satisfied ‘Ahhhh.’ After he had straightened himself back up he walked over to the spear in the center of the ring and chuckled lightly as he gripped the handle and pulled the head of the spear from the dirt. He swung the weapon around and slowly set it on his shoulder before walking over to the other spear. He picked this weapon up and set it on his shoulder with the other one. The next weapon he walked to and picked up was his blade. He slid his foot under the handle of the weapon and worked his way down until he was just below the hilt. In that second he kicked up the sword, let it flip once before he grabbed the hilt and sheathed the weapon on his hip.
The last thing he walked over and grabbed was the chest plate and bracers that he had dropped upon the ground. He picked up the breastplate first and knocked on the dent with the wooden end of his spears, testing the dent before he shook his head and just threw it over his shoulder. He bent back down and grabbed the bracer before he looked over to Jin as he grinned and began to walk towards the guard bunk. As he walked he called back over his shoulder. “If you make up your mind, I’ll be in the inventory and then the Infirmary. He laughed quietly to himself before continuing his stroll towards the building.
When he finally climbed the couple of steps and walked though the doors into the post, the first place he walked into, once again, was the inventory. He placed his armor on the stand that was provided, even removing his Leg guards and placing them where they needed. He grabbed a new shirt that he had hidden in this place and then put on his dragon hide vest over it. Most of his pants where burnt away, but he didn’t keep any of them in here. He took a deep breath and released it in a drawn out sigh as he placed his spears in their proper place and picked up his bow, a quiver, and a handful of arrows. It looked to be about twenty-five to thirty. He turned away from his armor stand as he was pushing the arrows into the quiver. He walked out of inventory and began to walk towards the infirmary to grab some healing herbs for his burns. His mind still went back to the fallen king. A man he saw as a friend the first time. They knew each other only for a few hours. Now he wondered about the man taking his place.
He now had a list in his head, his first task would be to find out the name of his new king, second would be to read up on fire techniques, and lastly he would begin his training in taming. He had tamed his share of beast before, but he wanted to learn how to tame larger, more menacing beasts. He would also check the schools for this type of information.

| Jin-E finished gathering up his things after Shurik did. He was badly burnt and sore, but that didn't deter his movements as he placed his items where they belonged. Looking over at Shur when the man spoke, he nodded "OK" He looked about him for a few moments with a curious gaze before he headed towards the most deserted part of town. He would most likely get lost but it wouldn't be to hard to find a familiar land mark..Maybe.. With a small sigh, he began to look around him as he entered the streets. Surely their would be something here in this town for him, besides the offer that Shur had made him. The position was seeming very tantalizing at the moment. He saw a small, old, run down house that would serve his needs. He walked up to it and studied the front door. It had boards nailed to the front door that would stop anyone from entering.
A sigh left his lips as he circled the old building, surely their was an opening of some kind that he can fit through. There, a small window that had glass in it. With a shrug, Jin-e brought his leg up and kicked the glass out with his boot. He braced his hands against the sill and forced himself through it. He got cut a bit which forced a small gasp out of his lips. The cuts in the burns made it hurt like hell. Seeing that their was no light, he held his palm up and produced a small spark of fire. IT lasted a few moments long enough for him to find a candle. He quickly lit it as the fire in his palm went out. It would take a while for him to produce the flames again it seemed. Easing himself down onto the floor gently, he pulled his pack out and unraveled it. With difficulty, he lathered some cloth in a burn ointment he had found. Tying his arm up was becoming increasingly difficult with only one hand. He managed to get it after a couple of minutes.
A few hours later, all of his burns and cuts were either stitched together or had ointment treated cloths covering them. He glanced around him as his stomach began to grumble slightly, with a small sigh he grabbed a small Mellon out of his pack and cracked it open. He began to eat it slowly as he looked about. It would need some fixing up in here to make it livable for himself. With a small shrug, he forced himself up to begin to tidy this place up a bit. From their he shall figure out what he will do next. Would he take up Shur's offer or will he go back or would he do something else? He would have to think on it for a while. He looked around himself as he cleaned. IT would take a day, maybe two to fix this place up. With a small shrug, he began his task and would not leave here till he was finished

| When his foot entered the infirmary it was if every eye was on his instantly. The nurses knew him well enough from before and the brethren lying in the beds remembered his face from around the barracks. His eyes scanned around the room as he walked over and sat down on the bed. He removed his shirt and rolled up what was left of his pants as he waited for one of the nurses to come take a look at him. His left pectoral was already black and blue and it felt like there was a bruised rib or two beneath the discoloration. He sighed and looked over to one of his buddies chuckling lightly. He sighed and kept his arms close to him as he waited.
Finally one of the nurses walked up to him and sighed as she looked over the man. ”Shurik Sidorov what the hell did you do this time?” He smirked and shook his head as he looked her in the eyes and chuckled. “A little training exercise with a maybe new recruit.” He laughed once more and then winced in pain before the nurse put a hand on his chest and pushed down. He laid back without a fight and sat there as she went to medical closet. The nurse walked back with several bandages and a jar of some cream. She soaked the bandaged in the semi-liquid cream and lifted up one limb at a time, wrapping the burns in the herb and letting it soak in. A few moments later she wrapped them again in a dry layer and sighed. “Refrain from fighting or training for a couple of days, Okay Shurik?”
He nodded to the nurse and slowly stood up. Most of his legs, part of his arms, and a small section of his stomach where all wrapped. “I’ll take it easy.” He placed back on his shirt and nodded to the people in the room before he walked out and entered the main lobby. Now he wouldn’t get any dispatch orders until a few days from now. That gave him time to study and train. With his quiver and bow in tow, he made his way up the street, back towards the Palace, before taking a left and walking straight to the Library.
He felt static as he walked into the room. All his bandaged where still visible as he made his way up to the counter and asked the man there about his books. “Can you get me all books on ancient fire using techniques?” The man nodded and pointed to a large table. “If you would sir, sit there.” He nodded and then halted the man before he left. “Ohh… and a few books on taming methods. Thanks.” The Librarian walked off as he made his way over to the table and pulled out a chair on the end. He sat down and just waited. Which would he study first? He had a feeling that the fire would be easier to train with in his current condition, seeing as taming would require a more fighting effort than just practice.
After a few moments, the Librarian and two other people brought three carts to him. The first two where filled with rather old looking books and a couple of different scrolls. The third was a rather large mixture. “Here is enough to get you started. The first two are training in fire manipulation books and the third is on taming the beasts of the wilds.” He nodded to the man and said his thanks before the librarian walked off once more. He picked up a few of the scrolls and two of the books and laid them out before him, beginning to read.

| Over a week and a half had past since Jin-E had sparred Shurik. Jins mind kept going back towards the man, wondering what he was doing. Jin had wondered if Shur was serious about his offer or not. It nagged him in the back of the mind as he tried to think about it. A small shrug came off of Jins shoulders as he looked about the newly repaired house. He had gone to the other houses that were run down or collapsed and used what boards he could to repair the one he had taken over. The house was two stories. The bottom held a kitchen, dinning room, and a study. The top floor held a couple of bedrooms. Jin had been able to create a dining table and a coffee table out of the left overs from the inside reconstruction. With allot of help from some of the random kids in the town that had no where to go but the orphanage, he had repaired the front porch and the door. Their were two orphaned boys that had stayed with Jin when he had finished. Ones name was Kenneth and the other Lennik. Jin had given the boys each a room since they did not want to live in a orphanage. In return, they helped clean and teach Jin to talk better. Now Jin's vocabulary had grown mostly and he could talk allot better, which helped out when he had to go and buy supplies and other essentials.
Jin had gotten a part time job at a bar to help keep the order their if a few of the towns folk got to rowdy. A few times Jin had to step in and he didnt get hurt usually. One time though while he was trying to get two trouble makers to leave, their friend grabbed a bar stool and broke it over Jins back. It still smarted a bit but he put the pain off. It was a fairly well paying job that had allowed him to purches some new weapons. He now had a set of thin steel straight katakana strapped to his back along with two sets of chained scythe blades. He had his Kriss turned into metal so he had 6 sets of them for when he needed them. He wondered if the new improvements would help him against Shur if they were to spar again. He shrugged slightly. It had been a while since he had seen that man. A small smirk graced his lips behind the red cloth that covered his lips and cheeks " Lennik! Kenneth! I'm going out. Stay here or go get supplies." The two boys called out that they understood. With a small smirk, he turned and walked out of the house.
Looking both ways across the path, he began to walk towards the palace. A few guards gave him their usual glances that they always did when he was walking. He inquired the assistance of two guards who pointed towards the barracks. He thanked them and turned to walk away. He had taken a few steps when he heard a commotion going on, he looked over to see a fight between two men going on about something. His interest in it began to grow so he jogged on over. Both the men were fighting over a silver coin that was in the street. Listening to them, Jin sighed slightly. One was drunk and the other seemed to be down on his luck. Each said that the coin was his and the other was a thief. Reaching down into his pockets, he found a silver coin. He broke up the fight and gave it to the man that didnt have the coin in his hand before turning to leave.
He didnt get to take a few steps when he felt something solid hit him in the back of the head. Crashing to the ground, his coin pouch spewed out onto the ground. Disoriented, he tried to push himself up but fell down in the mud. When the dizziness from the blow fled, he looked around for his coin purse. It was gone. With a growl of frustration, Jin looked around for the two that he had helped. He was sure that one of them was the one that had hit him. Shaking his head, he walked over towards the barracks and knocked. A guard opened the door and spoke " What you want?" Jin bowed slightly " Is Shur in their?" The guard gave him a look and shut the door in his face.

| Shurik hadn’t left the Library in what felt like weeks. His mind felt ready to blow at the moment from the wealth of information one could obtain in these archives. In a week and a half Shurik had read almost twenty books, both on fire manipulation and taming. Looking over the table he sat at, he grinned to himself and shook his head. The old oak was covered in the books he had already read. Something inside of himself told him that he had barely scratched the surface of all of this. He figured his next task would be to train a few days and then talk to the elder warriors and tamers. They would all know more than he did and may steer him in the right direction. A trashcan sat next to his chair and it was filled with food and torn notes out of a book. Finally, after all this time of hard work and study, he sat back and looked over his progress.
Reading one of the older texts, he had found techniques for better controlling the fire, using it to enhance all attacks and not just as an attack itself. He knew how to channel it to his fists and use it there, but with better control he could use it to enhance his kicks and elbows. Another book had given him more information on how to retain stamina. It would take less stamina to do one attack and set something aflame and use the flames to attack with than continuously create your own fire from within. Another solution was overall practice. As one gained more experience, the more easily the right amount of fire could be applied to do the maximum damage without losing a massive amount of stamina. He also learned that the skill he wrote about in one of his papers could be obtained. Not only that, but it could be done with just one person, not two. Another fact he learned was one could form his own weapons from his flames, but it would quickly drain him if he wasn’t used to the strain it would cause on his body. He had heard about such a feat. When the guards used to speak of Lux, they said he could form a whip of fire and use it for a few seconds. His next reflection would have to be on his taming skills.
In taming he had learned that he must learn no fear. He had to tone his skills to the point where the beast felt more threatened by his presence than he did of theirs. This was a feat in itself to obtain. He also that dominance over the beast must be present at all times. There was much more to taming than just beating the animal. Eye contact, presence, even body movement played a major role in showing your dominance over an animal. One ounce of fear or feeling of submittal to the beast and it will strike out and attack to make sure he knew it was the dominant force here. Shurik had a long way to go before he could capture his dragon, but that didn’t deter him from his dream in any way. He stood up from the table and grabbed a few of the books he had been reading and not completed. He felt hopeful, even proud of himself in a way, with all the new information he had obtained. He walked up to the counter and the Librarian seemed happy to see him leave the place. He checked out the few books he still needed to read and walked from the building.
When he first stepped out into the world, his eyes seemed to go haywire for a moment. The city lights where much brighter than the library’s. He took the books in one arm and walked out into the streets as soon as his eyes had adjusted to the change in light. He would go to the barracks first to clean himself and change into a new set of cloths. Also, he had to remove the bandages from his body. As he walked down the street he saw a man break up a fight, his eyes watching with intent as one of the men attacked the bouncer type and run off. As the thief progressed up the street, Shurik made his way down and as the man went by he landed a hard punch to the thief’s upper chest. The coin purse in his hand flew into the air and the men hit the ground with a loud grunt and gasp as he tried to refill his lungs with air after having the wind knocked from him. Shurik caught the coin bag as it fell through the air and smirked at the man now on the ground. “Theft is punishable by law. Your very lucky I’m feeling good today, Friend. I’ll let you off with a warning this time.” After warning the man he walked away from him and down towards the barracks with a smile on his face.
As he continued his way down the street, many of the people looked to him and gave him a large smile, and on this day he returned it with full heartedness. Every hello and how do you do was greeted with one in the same. As he reached the guardhouse, he had to take a pause and stared for a moment. There was a man standing at the door and he seemed to get a rude introduction from the guard at the door. Shurik thought he heard Jin-E’s voice, but he wasn’t sure on that. He shifted the books in his arms and walked over to the man. Being closer now he could see that it was Jin and a grin grew on his face. “Jin-E! Hello, my friend! It has been awhile, aye?” He laughed as he walked by Jin at first and knocked on the Barracks door. The guard entered wide-eyed and Shurik stared at the man as he spoke. “Now what possessed you to so rudely slam a door in this man’s face? Do you do this with other citizens of Incendia?” The guard looked nervous as Shurik spoke and shook his head before apologizing to both Shurik and Jin-E at once. Once that was taken care of, he turned to Jin and chuckled. “How has life been for you?”

| He looked over his shoulder and saw Shurik. A small smile came upon his face as his eyes brightened a bit " You are not killed yet. Good cause then i have no fun" He laughed a bit as he turned his eyes towards the guard. With a simple shrug, he looked at Shurik again pointing out towards the desolated part of town " I had taken over old house and fixed it up a bit. I have two boys stay with me now. No family they have." He looked Shur up and down a bit with a chuckle " I got a job as a what is it called...Bou...boun...bounce...I keep people in check at bars" He had given up trying to pronounce it. He patted Shur on the shoulder " I got upgraded weapons" He pointed to his Katakana's on his back and the two chained scythes at his hips. " No more bone but real steel." He saw that Shur had a bunch of books " What are you reading?" His curious state was arisen by the sight of them.
With his gaze looking back up to shur, he smiled slightly " You should come on over to meet them. You can bring Lilli and her parents if you would like. Ill just have to go and get a few more chairs." He looked at Shur and chuckled slightly.

| He was impressed greatly. Jin’s speech had improved so much in just a week and half it seemed. Much better than the wild talking that he had before this time. “Well.. You learned how to talk, too. That’s great.” He laughed lightly and looked to his friend and nodded. “So you adopted two orphans, Fixed up a house, and gained a job as a bouncer at a bar in town.” He smiled to his friend and nodded. “Seems like a good start to me, Jin-E” He had noticed the glint of his steel from the distance and had wondered what happened to the old bone weaponry the man had carried before this. “Well.. You have a nice Collection started there.” He laughed lightly and patted his friend back on the shoulder as he nodded. “Well, Jin-E. If you ever find yourself in a spot, my offer still stands.” He looked over his friend once more and grinned. “You seemed rather healed up already. Maybe we can train together again sometime. I have tons to experiment with.” He grinned some and shook his head. “If anything, It might just be me and Lilli… Her parents cannot really leave the house.”
When Jin’s eyes turned to the books he laughed and nodded his head towards his quarters. “Come over to my place and I’ll show you what is in the books” He took a few steps into the barracks and walked off towards his bunkhouse. If Jin were curious enough about what Shurik had been doing for all this time, he would follow him. Eyes shot from their tasks to watch the bandaged wrapped man walk towards his quarters. Shurik kept his eyes forward with a large smile on his face.

| He followed Shur and smiled slightly as they were passing his men " Are you gonna set me on fire again and make me have to do it to you again as well?" He chuckled slightly " And I thought of your offer. I accept." He popped his neck slightly and winced. His head was sore from where he was hit earlier. He tilted his head slightly at Shur when he said Lillis parents couldn't leave the house " What wrong with Lillis family?" He tilted his head to the side slightly as he followed the man. Soon they would be at Shurs room. He wondered what a man like Shur could have in his room. The thoughts ran rampant as he tried to imagine. As he looked around at the other guards, he wondered if he would have to stay in here with them.
He shook his head and looked over at Shur " Who take over for Lux?" He was genuinely curious about it and he hopped his question hadnt bothered his friend. He kept his gaze on Shur as he slid his hands into his pockets. They had a little bit of catching up to do that was for sure. He smiled at Shurs back as he spoke " When shall we train?"

| He laughed lightly at his remarks before he took the coin purse he had gotten out and threw it over his shoulder to Jin. “I don’t know, Can you keep a hold on your Items this time?” He grinned and looked out of the corner of his eyes over to Jin as he nodded. “Well then, we’ll go over to the Enlisting station and see what we can do for you.” He continued to walk across the open area until they reached the back wall and one of the doors that was there. “Lilli’s father is… Sick. Her mother can’t leave him alone in the house.” He sighed lightly and looked off into the distance for a moment. “And her mother isn’t doing much better.” He sighed and looked to Jin as he pushed the door open. “It isn’t anything special.” He walked in, leaving the door open so the man could follow him. The first thing he did was put the books on his table and spread them out, setting his notebook ahead of the rest so Jin could look over the information.
It was a simple place. There was a Bed and a kitchen. Attached to that was a small living area. His area was bare except for a small mat in the center and an incense stand next to it. In front of it was a small shrine with a figure of a dragon cast in rock from the largest volcano in Daratan. On the wall was inscribed some words no one but Shur and his line would understand. The kitchen was small, but still fit enough storage and a table with two chairs. He walked over to one of the cabinets and opened it up, pulling out two beverages before he walked over to the table and sat in opposite chair from where he had spread out the books. He slid the second drink over to that side of the table as he opened his. “I’ve found some very interesting means of perfecting the craft of fire using and taming.”

| He smirked at Shur and walked into his room." I dont think youll be getting a hold of them that easy again my friend. " he looked around at the room and blinked in surprise. It wasnt filled with many things but what it was filled with sparked his curiosity. He smiled at Shur and was about to ask something when his eyes spotted the dragon statue. " Where did you get something like that?" He was intrigued with the statue as he bent down closer to look at it closely. Hearing him talk about the state Lillis parents were in, he looked up at Shurik " Do they not have money to buy medical help?" he gazed at Shur and blinked " Does no one help each other in this place when they are sick or in need of help?" | |

| He chuckled and nodded. “Well, with your new Shiny weapons and the Armor you receive from enlisting, you might give me a better run for my money!” he laughed lightly and looked over to the statue for a moment, noticing Jin’s interest in the figure with his question. He nodded and chuckled lightly. “That thing right there? It’s a family Heirloom. It’s a lost artifact of a failing faction of Incendia’s old army. The Great dragon was said to have shaped the land and gave the clans their powers in doing so. It’s the religious artifact of the dragoon.” He laughed and stared once more at the object, his mind slowly fading into the past as he nodded once more. “My family, myself, my very people, are all dragoons. A bred warrior trained from the time we can hold a spear.” He shook his head and stared at the ground. “Although I call myself one. In my fathers eyes, I’m nothing but a failure.” He looked over to Jin as he asked about Lilli’s Family. “No one can help them. It’s one of the incurables.” He shook his head and sighed “Lilli has shone no Signs of it, but once the father passes I have a promise to keep to her mother.” | |

| He nodded at Shurs statement about the dragon statue and looked up at him. " Why are you a fai..fail..." He shook his head and looked at him as he straightened up. He didnt see Shur as a failure in his eyes but he couldnt understand why his father thought so. He was about to say something about it but when he said Lillis father was incurable, he gazed at him " If you need help give me a call." He looked at Shur then back at the statue very curious about the legend of the great dragon. He sighed slightly and turned around once before looking at shur " Well lets see if i cant give you a run for your money now. Even though you have your new techniques probably, i am ready for it." He chuckled slightly and looked outside to see the sun at high noon. " Itll have to wait though. I got a ap..app..appoi.." He sighed again as his lack of the speech he had control of. He looked at Shur and held his hand out " Why not come with me. I have work after i go see the smith. He has a new design of a sword for me. You might like." He smiled slightly and looked at shur to see if he would come or not " Ill buy drinks" | |

| He shook his head and laughed. “A long story, really. I failed at my final test to become a true Dragoon. Let’s leave it at that.” As he spoke about this he pointed at the scar that crossed his left eye. He sighed lightly and shook his head. “But that’s the past now.” He looked over to Jin as he spoke of helping him. He shook his head and laughed lightly. “I’ll remember that.” He set his elbow against the table and leaned his head against his open hand as he stared at the statue for a few moments, taking a long drink from his bottle. When Jin started talking once more he looked up and chuckled. “Sure, I’ll come along. I have nothing really left to do for the day.” He looked at himself and laughed. He still had his bandaged on and his torn up clothing upon his body. He shrugged it off and stood up, heading to the door and pulling it open before offering Jin the first step out. “Let’s see this new Design and this new Job you have.” | |

| He nodded at Shur and began to make his way out towards the City. He was sure that Shurik was following him, if he lost Shur, he was sure that the man could find him easily. As they made their way down the streets, his hands shook slightly in anticipation. He had thought of the design of the weapon after watching the guards with their spears. If those spears broke, they would only be holding a staff that had no point at all. of course they would have close range weapons, but if they were fighting a larger creature that they couldn't get close too, what was the point of having those swords or other types of close range weapons? None what so ever. But what if they had a sword that was able to be turned into a spear? That would indeed be a great multi purpose weapon. It would allow close and distant attacks. He had spent most of his time in the wilds trying to make a bone crafted weapon like that. Each attempt of his had failed miserably. The test had ended up with him getting hurt more then doing any type of damage to the creatures of the wild.
He smiled as they entered the blacksmith's forge. He asked the master blacksmith if he had his weapon ready. The man pointed over towards a scimitar looking weapon over in the corner. He nodded his thanks and withdrew 5 gold coins. He dropped them into the smith's hands before he walked over to grab the weapon. He grinned and picked it up. It was very heavy but it was able to be wielded in one hand or two. It had a hand-and-a-half hilt on it that was unusually wider then a normal hilt. He picked it up and spun it around in his hands. It had a nice sense of balance but it was still heavy. He turned towards Shur and held it out to him. " What do you see that is different in this sword?" A small crest of a dragons claw was engraved in the hilt. He smiled at Shur and launched into an explanation before Shur could say what was different
"Its heavier for a reason which i think would be grand. If you press the crest right there" he pointed at the dragon crest. " The bottom of the hilt will extend out into a metal, hallow pole. each piece in the hilt is hallowed out and slightly smaller then the first so each piece can fit into each other. It would be awkward at first to wield but its still usable as a sword and a spear. " He chuckled slightly as he waited to see if shur would extend the hilt " Its almost 5 and a half feet long. I thought about making a sword that you could have a hollow hilt in it to fit a shaft into so the tip wouldnt break and give you a better advantage. But Jakein, the owner of the bar i work at, told me about how people make hollowed out chest and slip in their valuables. I thought a few days about it and i made arrangements with the blacksmith here to make it how you see it right now." He beamed with pride that hid it behind his mask

| He followed Jin through the streets and kept up with the man as they went through a crowd of people. It seemed this man had grown out from his shell and opened up to the community. Jin didn’t seem as nervous as he used to around a mass amount of people and it was interesting that he had made such progress in just a week’s time. He smirked as they finally reached their destination and his eyes lifted towards the sign. The smithy was where the guard bought their weapons for training and battle. What did Jin have in store for him on this fine day?
As he walked into the door behind the man, his eyes where instantly drawn to several of the weapons on the walls and in a couple of old cases. He truly couldn’t believe the designs these people came up with. It was truly a sight to behold. As Jin spoke, he turned towards him and looked. When Jin paid the man and grabbed one particular weapon he made his way over and stared at the man as he made his explanation. Taking the sword in one hand he began to swing it, a smile on his face, as he was about to speak. His words where cut off as Jin explained the weight and the weapon in itself.
He stared at the crest for a moment and smirked. “This one right here?” he held the weapon out a little ways and pressed the button, watching as a large spike shot out from the hollow hilt of the weapon. “Interesting…” He swung the weapon a few times, spinning between spear end and blade end in his hand. “Quite the design you have going here.” He smirked some and then held the weapon back out for Jin to take. “We’ll have to put it to the test sometime.”
